Launching a channel

Working with Sky Creative to launch Sky Sports+, a major new proposition and the biggest transformation to Sky Sports in over a decade, with the aim of ensuring every colleague would feel confident and excited promoting it.

The ask

Educate and excite CSG colleagues about the upcoming launch of Sky Sports+. By landing the significance of the role colleagues play in having value-led conversations around the launch and bringing to life the great Sky Sports+ content that customers will have access to.

The execution

We brought the proposition to life by working with external agencies Kreate and Many Makers to deliver a rich multi-channel creative rollout.

Sky Sports+ roadshow: A bold, branded on-site experience featuring immersive games, VR activities, and surprise visits from Sky Sports legends.

Launch programme: We partnered with content creator Moses Duckrell to produce a dynamic 10-minute show, filmed on location at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium. Using a drone to capture footage and key areas across the ground, we captured the story of Sky Sports — past, present, and future — and spoke with passionate superfans about what the new channel means to them.

timetolearn: In collaboration with the Learning team, a beautifully designed digital learning hub with promo videos, example advisor-to-customer call recordings, discussion topics, and a knowledge check with exclusive rewards.

Merchandise and collateral: T-shirts designed for each sports team, lanyards, and more.

Team Selector and Trophy Locker: Two gamified digital activations designed to drive learning and boost performance through play and rewards.

Everything was visually and tonally unified under the Sky Sports+ brand –bold, confident, modern – and adapted seamlessly for different audiences and platforms.

The results

We helped deliver a 40% increase in sales and upgrades in the eight weeks following the campaign. More than 3,500 colleagues took park in our experiential engagement, building real momentum across the business — including offshore teams.

timetolearn, our core learning focus, delivered strong results. 89% of people said the site content helped them understand the new proposition, and we saw a 90% uplift in NPV (Net Present Value).
